Your suitcase is key to making your trip the best one yet. Depending on your destination, you’ll decide whether to bring a carry-on, a large suitcase, or a backpack.
For many travelers, packing can become a real headache; generally, most people bring things they don’t need. Today, we want to share tips to help you travel comfortably.
Always check the weather conditions at your destination, as this will affect how you organize your luggage.
- Choosing the right suitcase: When purchasing your luggage, choose a suitcase of excellent quality with internal compartments and security. Very importantly, pay attention to the wheels. It’s best if they are spinning wheels, allowing you to roll the suitcase without tilting it. If you need to travel with a backpack, check its size and capacity in liters. Remember that your suitcase is part of your image while traveling.
- Watch the weight: The key is to bring only what you need and ensure that each item you choose makes your journey more comfortable without adding unnecessary weight. Ninety-nine percent of the destinations we visit have places where you can wash clothes or shop in case of emergencies, so don’t pack anything you’re unsure you’ll use.
- Choosing your outfits: Having enough underwear and socks for your trip is important. Plan your outfits and bring clothing that can be mixed and matched, such as basic T-shirts, comfortable pants or jeans, and lightweight jackets.
- Check the weather: Opt for garments you can wear on different occasions that are suitable for various climates. A sweater or light jacket is ideal for keeping warm in cold weather or if temperatures change.
- About shoes: A pair of comfortable and versatile shoes, such as walking sneakers or sandals, is essential.
- Personal Items: To save space, include basic hygiene items in small or reusable containers. Bring your toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrush or comb, and facial cleansing products. Solid soap and shampoo are easier to transport and won’t spill. Don’t forget your sunscreen.
- Prepare for long flights: I always take my neck pillow and eye mask with me for long flights, which helps me sleep well on planes, trains, or buses without interruptions.
- Charger and Adapter to stay connected: Remember your portable charger and universal adapter. A portable charger ensures your devices are charged at all times, and if you’re traveling abroad, a universal adapter is essential for keeping your electronic devices connected.
- ID and personal documents: Always keep your passport and identification documents in your personal bag. Make sure all your documents are in a secure and accessible holder.
- Printed itinerary: I always recommend having a printed copy of your entire itinerary. Having a physical copy of your itinerary, hotel reservations, and tickets can be very useful in case of cell phone issues or poor signal.
The success of your trip will depend on the type of luggage you choose to bring. Always remember that traveling is not an expense; it’s an investment!
